Acino, a Swiss pharmaceutical company that develops and produces well-proven and innovative medicines, and AD Ports Logistics (ADPL), a subsidiary of the logistics cluster, AD Ports Group, the leading global facilitator of trade, logistics, and industry based in Abu Dhabi, have signed a milestone agreement for ADPL to provide Acino with global goods forwarding services, including sea and air transport in the region of MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
In accordance with the agreement, ADPL will use its fully integrated, GDP-certified end-to-end Pharma cold chain capabilities to ship essential pharmaceuticals from Acino’s global sites of origin to markets in the MENA region.

The Healthcare & Lifesciences branch of ADPL can provide the specialized transport and handling services needed for the pharmaceutical products. The scope of the goods forwarding services will, according to the conditions of the agreement, include first-mile transportation, season and airport loading, customs processing, and logistics for the last mile.
