Zebra Technologies, a workflow automation firm located in the US, will expand its research and development facility in Bangalore, Karnataka, making it the company’s largest in the APAC area. Zebra Technologies will also bring its software capabilities to India. Six R&D facilities, including one each in Singapore, Colombo, Guangzhou, and Taipei, are being operated by NASDAQ-listed Zebra Technology around the APAC region. While the rest work with hardware, those in India concentrate more on software. Ryan Goh, senior VP and GM of APAC for Zebra Tech stated that the company’s success with this strategy may be attributed to the country’s abundance of software developers.

Zebra Tech is involved in manufacturing tools like RFID, QR code, and barcode scanners that can scan barcodes quickly in a variety of contexts in order to improve process automation.
