The opening of the surface transhipment centres in Guwahati and Nagpur is in line with Gati’s goal to build Twelve modern, automated, and environment-friendly facilities.

The Nagpur surface transhipment centre is strategically located at Nagpur-Amravati road and spread over 50,000 square feet and can efficiently manage short haul deliveries in west India and long haul deliveries globally. With the help of advanced technologies, surface transhipment centres offer their customers effective and efficient supply chains, reduce hold-up time, and on-time deliveries.
Designed in compliance with green norms, the Nagpur surface transhipment centre is equipped with built-to-suit technology-enabled warehouses of global standards, an advanced warehouse management system, shop floor automation, integrated warehousing and distribution mechanism & safety features, and world-class material handling facilities. The facility has enough docks to turn around over 100 trucks a day and has a throughput capacity of over 1800 tonnes/day.
The Nagpur surface transhipment centre will provide customised solutions for multiple industries including automotive, apparel, electrical equipment, heavy engineering, pharmaceutical and unloading of cargo.

The Guwahati surface transhipment centre is strategically located at Gauripur industrial corridor, around 40,000 square feet. Through National Highway, the STC connected to many parts of the nation. The STC is accessible from the arterial road without being congested. Equipped with modern infrastructure, enhanced warehouse capacity and 400 tonnes of throughput capacity/day, the Guwahati surface transhipment centre builds superior cargo delivery efficiency for its clients to 7 sisters of India – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, and Tripura.
As the country’s economy gains momentum, there is an increasing demand for well-equipped warehousing and shipment infrastructure across primary locations in India.
