The Dwarka Motorway, which consists of the construction of an 8-lane motorway on a single pier and was conceptualized and designed with consideration for the current traffic load, is an engineering marvel, according to the Road Transport and Highways Ministry on Monday, August 14, 2023.

The Ministry clarified that the high capital cost for the Dwarka Motorway would also result in a decrease in pollution throughout the entire Delhi-NCR region, which has already benefited from similar development on the Eastern Peripheral Motorway and the Delhi-Meerut Motorway. It stated that the Bharatmala Pariyojna project’s civil cost, or capital cost, varies depending on its design elements, topography, and geographic regions. The ministry further explained that the average price for special projects covered by long stretches of bridges, viaducts, and tunnels under Bharatmala Pariyojna is 152 crore rupees per km.
