Leading LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) terminals and downstream infrastructure provider AG&P International Pte. Ltd. announced the arrival and successful berthing of its long-term contracted 137,500 cbm ISH FSU (Floating Storage Unit) at AG&P’s Philippines LNG (PHLNG) import terminal in Batangas Bay. The Japan-built Moss-type LNG carrier ISH, Gas Entec, which is leased from ADNOC L&S and was converted to FSU by an AG&P subsidiary, transports the nation’s first LNG cargo to the Philippines, making history in the country’s energy sector with the introduction of clean and reasonably priced LNG for the first time.

According to the chairman and CEO of AG&P Terminal, with the ISH docked at PHLNG for the next ten years or longer, AG&P is proud to open the first LNG terminal in the Philippines, known as PHLNG. PHLNG will have both floating and nearly equal onshore tank storage, providing close to 100% availability.

ADNOC L&S is working closely with AG&P (Atlantic Gulf & Pacific) and San Miguel, our key customer, to supply sustainable energy to the Philippines. The first cargo of gasoline originated in Abu Dhabi, and the ISH has been present there for a long time. With PHLNG serving as a key example, the company is pleased to witness the substantial growth of the ties between the Philippines and the UAE, two powerful countries.

The Philippines’ ability to regasify and import LNG will be launched by AG&P’s PHLNG, a significant development that will provide gas to meet the country’s present and future energy needs. Numerous Filipinos’ quality of life will be improved, industrialization will be accelerated, the population will be reduced, jobs will be created, and overall economic and social progress will be sped up.
