After flagging off two Vande Bharat Express trains this afternoon from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, he spoke. The total number of Vande Bharat Express trains operating throughout the nation has increased to 10 with the launch of the Mumbai-Solapur and Mumbai-Shirdi routes. In addition to being the first state in the nation to offer two intra-state Vande Bharat services, Maharashtra is notable for having four Vande Bharat Express trains.

The prime minister added that the Vande Bharat trains will put forward the representation of development and speed in India.

According to Prime Minister Modi, this is the first time that two Vande Bharat trains are being introduced in the country at the same time. The trains will link the economic hubs of Mumbai and Pune with the holy cities of Shirdi, Pandharpur, Tuljapur, and Akkalkot. According to a statement made by him, the service will benefit all socio-economic groups and will also increase travel within the state. Additionally, the passengers will get to enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Sahyadris, which will be a moment of happiness for them during their travel.

The prime minister also added that the government has focused on the Vande Bharat trains as they put forward the representation of development and speed in India. With its high speed among the other trains, Vande Bharat has connected 17 states with 108 districts so far.

To ease up the traffic and congestion on the roads of Mumbai, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the Santacruz Chembur Link Road, while attending the event. The arms that are built recently, will efficiently link the eastern as well as the western suburbs by joining the western motorway to the eastern motorway. Nearly two lakh vehicles are anticipated to use these roads, Prime Minister Modi remarked when discussing these initiatives taken for the development of the nation. Prime Minister Modi also claimed that infrastructure investments made by the government will generate new employment for every dollar spent on them and that facilities like roads, airports, rivers, and railroads improve quality of life.

The Prime Minister was congratulated for allocating 13,500 crore rupees for railway projects in Maharashtra, including two thousand crores for projects in Mumbai, by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who also spoke at the event.
