By 2030, the National Logistics Policy is expected to reduce logistics costs from the current 14% of Indian GDP to 8%
The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) is creating a more technologically advanced and integrated framework for the Indian logistics industry as part of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP). The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC), an initiative of the NITI Aayog, is putting this platform into action in order to minimize costs and boost operational effectiveness. With regard to ports, shipping lines, waterways, railroads, aircraft, road transportation, highways, customs, and DGFT, ULIP converges and integrates 24 systems, 78 APIs, and 1454 fields. All of the ULIP milestones are being implemented by NICDC to support the logistics industry’s rapid expansion. As one of the only businesses to link with ULIP, Intugine gave Indian shippers and manufacturers access to multimodal visibility through their all-inclusive solution. On September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the ULIP and the National Logistics Policy in the nation’s capital, New Delhi. One of the few private businesses asked and chosen by the Prime Minister’s Office to present their proposals to the Honorable PM was Intugine. Mrinal Rai, the co-founder and COO of Intugine, gave PM Modi a demonstration of the platform’s disruptive powers and its capacity to give him real-time shipping visibility.

Indian roadways, which account for a staggering 70% of domestic transportation, have been the logistics industry’s lifeline. It is essential to follow items in transit via tracking devices or SIM-based tracking, among many other methods. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) created FASTag, an electronic toll collection system, in 2014 to centrally digitize this. For toll-based visibility of more than 90 lac commercial vehicles on the road, Intugine can retrieve FASTag data from more than 800 tolls across the nation. They are also obtaining useful information, such as transporter scorecards, dependability scores, and transporter/lane analytics. The only railway API in the nation, the Freight Operations Information System (FOIS), allows for milestone visibility of more than 9000 freight trains. The integration tracks 1400 million metric tonnes of cargo worth Rs 1.43 lakh crore annually, capturing real-time shipment arrival and dispatch periods in one of the largest rail networks in the world. FOIS will decrease demurrages and wharfages, boost rake movement efficiency, and encourage more people to use alternative modes of transportation.
