Martin Bencher is a project-focused, asset-light logistics service that was established in 1997. This is the second acquisition that Maersk have made1 and clearly shows their expansion plans

Maersk will launch a new product called Maersk Project Logistics in conjunction with the planned purchase. According to the press release, project logistics is a specialized service provided by the global logistics sector that combines solution design, special cargo transportation, and project management services. This includes careful planning, orchestration, and sequencing of end-to-end shipments from suppliers to destination sites. Clients that need project logistics are aware of the limitations and difficulties they face and are looking for strategic partners who have the vision and capability to manage their complete global supply chain both today and in the future. Together with Maersk, Martin Bencher will have the size, dedication, and capacity to manage every aspect of logistics for clients all over the world and to diversify into new markets.

The acquisition though is not yet completed as there are some minor technicalities to look over

This is a fantastic purchase, and because the firms are on good terms, the deal might benefit both of them. With the logistics industry expanding steadily, the two businesses will complement one another effectively. The expansion of the business, which results in success and profit, is the primary goal of this transaction. It will be a terrific investment and would show its value sooner rather than later if the potential is anything to go by.
