JSW infrastructure has made a 30-years of agreement with NMPT, they are planning to expand terminal container landing place of length of 350 meters and 15.5 hectares of backup storage area.

JSW an Indian multinational conglomerate was founded in 1982. JSW Group founder is Sajjan Jindal and it is part of the O.P. Jindal Group. Recently, Ports company JSW Infrastructure has commission its first terminal contained at (NMPT) which is located in Karnataka they made investment to expand its capacity to 4 lakh twenty equipment unit (TEU) by FY24 with the investment around Rs. 300 Crore.

The commission of the container terminal at New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) marks foray of JSW Infrastructure into container for cargo business. JSW Infrastructure is among the top five port companies in India who is a part of $13 billion steel-to-sports JSW Group.

The company made declaration on Wednesday, JSW infrastructure has established its first terminal at NPMT. It spots on JSW Infrastructure’s expand diversity and foray into the container of cargo business. This terminal first phase of development is already completed which enable us with a cargo capacity of 2.4 lakh TEUs. For the business company to arise the opportunity in cargo container they are planning to invest more than RS. 300 crores to be able to build complete capacity to 400,000 TEUs.

This company JSW Infrastructure mechanized container terminal at NMPT will provide the support for water-based infrastructure and regional progress in Mangalore SEZ. It is predicted to give impetus growth to cargo businesses in Karnataka regions such as Mysore, South Karnataka, Bengaluru, Shimoga and other industrial hubs.

This infrastructure container terminal at NMPT is aim to manage mainliner cargo vessels at the port which is up to 9,000 TEUs. This automates container handling facility and elevate in vessel size to provide in land water-based logistics as a support to raise hinterland trade in hinterland markets.

The company has closed the FY21 revenue with Rs. 1,600 crore and it has set a top line in FY22 to target for growing 50%. More, the current fiscal is targeting to grow around 30-40%.
