After the pandemic wave, the customers will have wider options for air travel, as the airlines are likely to introduce new and more flights from the end of March this year for better and safe travel, along with the strategy to reinforce the business of travel.
According to the reports, Turkish airlines and Malaysian airlines are all set to resume their passenger flights in India, following the allowance of regular flights after a gap of two years led by the pandemic. Alongside, Air France-KLM and Lufthansa group is preparing to upgrade and enhance their existing services in a classified manner with the offset of the summer schedule this year. The pandemic has already affected the arrival and departure of flights in India as restrictions were put.

Emirates is the largest foreign airline that operates in India, had a schedule of 172 flights per week in the pre-covid scenario. The airlines too are looking to restore the schedule now, as the Ministry of civil aviation has announced the resumption of international flights that were scheduled from March 27 onwards. Malaysia airlines have mentioned in an official statement that they will uninterruptedly increase the capacity to the cities that the airline is already operating in including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad – based on the demand of the flights. The airline is currently aiming to restore 70% of its pre-Covid19 capacity in India by the end of this year.
Turkish Airlines on the other hand is planning to resume its daily service of flights in Mumbai and Delhi while offering free hotel accommodation of one to two days in Istanbul for the passengers who have a longer transit time in the city while travelling in connecting flights.
Before the pandemic of Covid19 took place, India was in direct air connectivity with around 60 countries around the globe, but at present, there are bubble agreements of air transport with 37 countries. The bubble arrangements permit for flights that are scheduled but, the capacity and onward destination ticket sale is still under restrictions, although Sharjah, which has comparatively more flights at present, is an exception. Later on, after the changes, with the start of the scheduled international flights from March 27, Sharjah will also face a reduction in flights.
