Sawhney asked to create an ecosystem for the global supply chain to address various issues concerning the disruptions caused by the supply chain crisis. He pointed that the demand for electronics is gaining momentum in various segments including medical electronics, consumer electronics, defense, and solar panels, with cars joining the electronics segment as a new player. Moreover, now wt a greater push for electronic vehicles, there can be an increased moment in the electronics segment.

Sawhney highlighted that the government is taking many initiatives in this regard to address the issues faced by the industry presently. It can be predicted that there will be a certain direction in this regard in the coming three months. In another development, it has been observed that the Indian PC shipments for the third quarter of CY21 touched a total of 4.5 million. It is bigger than the total yearly consumer shipments in 2019, a year before the pandemic hit.

This resulted in many brands posting the biggest quarters for PC shipments. The Indian PC market that has seen five straight quarters of annual growth may be heading for softer growth as the education sector moves offline as well as due to supply chain issues.
