Infrastructure has always been an important aspect of any nation for growth. To move ahead with this idea of growth, a clearance was recently given by the state government for the planning schemes of 11 towns in the country. These TP schemes will also include the nine TP schemes, especially for Ahmedabad. Other than this, Surat and Bhavnagar are two cities for which one TP has been sanctioned by the government.

According to a formal statement by the authorities, two draught TP schemes of Ahmedabad and seven preliminary TP schemes have also been given the green signal. They are the draught TP schemes of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) 138/B Rupavati-Vasodara and draught TP schemes 128/A Rupavati (AUDA). Alongside, the other TP schemes that are included in the already sanctioned seven preliminary TP schemes of the city of Ahmedabad, are TP scheme 105 Vastral, 92/B Sarkhej-Okaf, TP scheme 114 Vastral-Ramol, TP scheme 73 Vinzhol, TP scheme 65 Saijpur-Bogha, TP scheme 93/C Gyaspur-Vejalpur, and TP scheme 66 Saijpur-Bogha East.

According to a press release by the official department, preliminary TP scheme 57 Pandesara and TP scheme 32 Shampura under the Bhavnagar Area Development Authority have both received firm approval from the government of Surat. 23,700 EWS housing units will be constructed as part of the projects that have been approved for Ahmedabad. In addition to the 20.73 hectares set aside for other public amenities, the total area of land that has been approved is 25.05 hectares for gardens and parks.

Although an area of 20.40 hectares will be sold under the approved TP projects of Surat and Bhavnagar to finance infrastructure and other amenities in the schemes, an area of 89.95 hectares will be sold under the TP schemes for financing infrastructural and other facilities in Ahmedabad. According to the statement released by the authorities, 567 EWS housing units will also be included for construction under the schemes that have been sanctioned by the government. These housing units will be sited in the area of Pandesara of Surat city. On the other hand, Bhavnagar will also have an addition of 3,300 EWS housing units constructed.

According to the formal statement, it was also added that an ask has been raised to the urban development department by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in order to help to speed up the work that has now been pending under the other town planning schemes for the respective city as well as other smaller towns.
