The managing director of CRIS (Center for Railway Information Systems) mentioned during the seminar that the centre has partnered with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) for the Real-Time Train Information Systems project to track trains in real-time. This project will make railroads’ trains run more smoothly. According to sources, internet of things (IoT) devices based on satnav and satcom have been deployed onboard the trains.
